Tutorial: HOT Pink Eyes Using Makeup Forever Shadows!!

MUFE HOT PINK EYES!!

I decided to finally put my MUFE shadows to work.  I created a hot pink look, but again very wearable using #'s 26, 5 and 92 www.sephora.com ($20.00 each) to create this look on the eyes along with MAC Brule, Sketch, and Retrospeck, all from MAC freestanding stores or www.maccosmetics.com ($15.00 each).  also I used MAC Superslick Liner in Smoky Heir ($18.50). 

On the Face I used NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer from www.sephora.com or www.narscosmetics.com ($42.00), along with Chanel Rose Bronze Blush www.chanelcosmetics.com (43.00).

On the Lips I used the discontinued MAC Flamingo, my beloved "my lips but better" color :(

NAILS: China Glaze- In the Lime Light (Neon) & White Out

 So this is my 1st nail look, and it is very green and classic with polka dots  but with a twist as you will see below.  To start I had to 1st cut, shape and buff my nails-I typically find this process tedious.  Once that took and hour..lol... I proceeded with a base coat of  Nail Tek III Protection Plus which is formulated for dry & brittle nails.  Then I applied the China Glaze White out as a base, just one sheer coat and let it dry.  Then I applied China Glaze In the Lime Light, but had to apply about 3 coats for it to be opaque.  I lastly used the White Out again to apply the polka dots with the brush inside -I used it in a stamping motion on the flat head of the brush.  I rate White Out 3 out of 5 stars, because although good as a base color, wearing it alone may not be suitable for all skin tones because it Really is white.  I rate In the Lime Light 3 out of 5 stars because although I love the bright neon green , you have to apply so many coats to achieve opacity, if not for that it would get a higher rating.  See the photos below.....

Review: NARS Carravagio Eye Shadow Duo ($34.00) www.sephora.com or www.narscosmetics.com

      I love, love, love this shade, as you can see the purple side has been well loved in the Nars Caravaggio Duo I am super obsessed with purples as it has been a long love affair which is still going strong.  Nars describes it as an Azalea Pink with an Iridescent Violet which is an accurate description. I cannot describe the beauty properly in words you have to see the swatches below. www.narscometics describes thier shadows as:

Now I'm always digging around into products name and I have always loved the name of this duo so I came across the follow of the name:

His paintings, which combine a realistic observation of the human state, both physical and emotional, with a dramatic use of lighting, had a formative influence on the Baroque school of painting."

Review: MAC Fleur Power Blush ($20.00) www.maccosmetics.com

Now this blush, Fleur Power, was purchased on a whim at MAC without trying it.. I am soo happy I purchased as it is the most beautiful blush I own next to my all time favorite pink swoon.  Every time I wear Fleur Power I always get a longer stare or a compliment on my look that day.  It is natural, subtle and soft and I apply it with the 168 Mac brush. MAC desribes it as a soft bright pinkish coral and it is a satin blush, which I am finding to be my favorite blush finish.  It's pigmented but buildable but I feel it is hard to over do on my skin tone when layering. It has become my everyday blush along with Whisper of Gilt Extra Dimension Skinfinish Highlighter-beautiful combination!  MAC got this one right and I think it is a great universal soft blush powder formula. I rate this one 5 out of 5 Stars...!! It hits all the good things we look for in a blush.

Review: NARS Surabaya Eye Shadow Duo ($34.00)

    Dare I say it, but this absolutely my favorite set of browns from NARS. The NARS Surabaya Duo. It is amazing to apply to looks into the crease area of the eye as it adds great dimension Narscosmetics.com decribes it as a brown sugar & chestnut which I feel is an accurate description:

    Now I decided to perform a little research and learned that Surabaya is actually Indonesia's second-largest city with a population of over 2.7 million.  This place has a variety of cultures of foreign nationalities which includes Malaysian, Chinese, Filipino, Indian, Arab, and European.

In addition to Javanese and Madurese natives, the city also has representatives of other Indonesian areas: Sunda, Minangkabau, Batak, Banjar, Balinese, and Bugis. Surabaya is the main trading port in East Java. Enriched by its facilities, and geography advantages, Surabaya has great economic potential. The city has a somewhat earthy look from the photos yet very beautiful also as you see above..

REVIEW: MAC VOLCANIC ASH EXFOLIATOR ($28.00)

MAC Volcanic Ash Exfoliator -100 ml / 3.4 US fl US $28.00

     I love this exfoliator and let me tell you why?....first, the  smell is pleasant with an earthy note as of course they add a scent.  2nd, I find it very easy and gentle on my skin without breaking me out.  3rd, It leaves my face soo soft and it removes makeup in just one rub down.
     I apply it with damp hands onto my face and I massage, massage, massage until all of the sugar crystals disappear.  I cannot describe that soft smooth supple feel. I rate it 4 out of 5 stars.  I took away one star because of the mess it can be as it does drip all over the shower or sink leaving the black ash but as long as you just wipe it, it's okay as its not that big of a deal. I recommend trying it!

Review MAC By Request: Moxie ($15.00)

  MAC Moxie Lipstick is a re-promote from a past collection and was brought back by request of MAC users voting for the colors.  I know a lot of people were thinking that 3N would've been in the sale but the nudes of it would not help pigmented lips I feel. So I feel we voted in the right fashion.
  I received this not having such amazing expectations as it not as bright as I like my lipsticks.  Moxie, a matte, from MAC's By Request Collection is bright and puts me in the mind of MAC's Pink Pigeon. It goes on super pigmented and deeper than Candy Yum Yum. It sort of looks reddish pink in the tube. It's super saturating with the 1st swipe. It did appear more reddish on me.
I will keep this one in a safe place so that no one can steal my MOXIE!......See the video and swatches below :)

Swatches: MAC By Request-Candy Yum Yum & Moxie Comparison Pics

 MAC's Moxie and Candy Yum Yum were the two lipsticks that I picked up from the By Request collection.  Moxie is advertised as a bright matte pink, but it runs more towards a candy red on me... Candy Yum Yum is definitely a much better choice on me. See swatches below in various lighting...
