Review: Guerlain Rose Aux Joues Blush Duo ~ 04 Pink Punk

I recently acquired this Guerlain Rose Aux Joues from www.sephora.com.  I  have been stalking them for quite some time now and finally shelled out the bucks to get it as a Sephora VIB sale came around.  The site describes it in the following:

 I found that this gave the most beautiful and luxurious effect on the cheeks the coral color, I found it to be great on it's own.  It is super smooth and pigmented and has a silky quality as both colors have.  The bottom color reminds me of NARS sin minus the sheen. It is silky smooth when applying and I simply layered it over the coral and it only made it more beautiful, not dull as i find they two combined created a really unique color. If you are of a lighter skin tone the darker color could be used as a contour for sure but for my tone it doesn't have an impact on its own. 

The Rose Aux Joues does have a pleasant fragrance of rose I love the packaging as it is super luxurious and comes inside the felt sleeve all of it branded and it has the heft and the weighted feel of a high quality high dollar cosmetic. I rate this 5 out of 5 stars.

 Now this one for me from my Guerlain haul was the least impressive as I wouldn't reccommend this to a lady who loves a super pigmented blush. As for my skin tone, I  really had to layer it up to get the color payoff that I seek in a blush.  I found the rose color to be way more pigmented than the other color in the duo.  It is smooth and silky as the quality is top notch on these as far as texture and feel. The top color does possess a slight sheen which I appreciate ;) The lower color had absolutely no color payoff for me but as far as the texture of it, it is smooth and silky so I layer it over the top color and it works.

Guerlain By Emilio Pucci Écrin 4-Couleurs Eye Shadow #13 Capri

I was sooo elated once this palette arrived from Sephora this past week. I had been contemplating if I wanted it because of the ticket price but once I opened up that beautiful bronze box to see the felt pouch and then the palette revealed itself to me, I was sold! 

Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis in a Pucci Scarf

Once opened it reveals the classically beautiful Emilio Pucci bold Mediterranean printed design, which the celebrated designer started producing in the 1950's and became popular via Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis (above). You then remove this luxurious velvet pouch which encases a beautiful metallic high quality luxe compact.  It then reveals in all of its glory four beautiful colors:

1. The White color as I call it the highlight color is tinged with a slight golden gilded quality with shimmering flecks of gold. It is soft and blendable and absolutely illuminates the eyes. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4 out of 5.

2. The Pink color is more so matte in finish and spreads on very easily and the pigmentation is on a scale of 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4 out of 5.

3. The Coral color is divine, it spreads as butter on a warm fresh piece of toast. The pigmentation is supreme and it has flecks of golden shimmer. This one to me is the standout color of the palette. I would rate this on 5 out of 5.

4. The Dark color I would describe as an burnished luminescent flecked blackened bronze, which has a matte quality, and when I applied it, it was soft and super easy to blend without appearing harsh. which is why I would rate it 5 out of 5.
